NAKA brings together Konkanis across the US and Canada — celebrating our language, culture, and traditions while building a vibrant community for generations to come.
A range of community services to connect, support, and celebrate Konkanis across North America.
North American Konkani Association (NAKA) was formed in 1998 when Nina Padukone, Damodhar Baliga, Vasanth Bhat and (Late) M. Vasudev Nayak saw the need for an all-encompassing national organization to help unite the North American Konkani community.
With the goal of preserving our language, showcasing our culture, and nurturing our customs, NAKA strives every day to serve as a helpful resource and create a national presence for Konkanis in the US and Canada.
E-Khabbar is everything and anything Konkani from a Konkani point of view. The only North American Quarterly Newsletter catering to the social and cultural needs of our community.
Each edition features stories, poetry, community news, cultural insights, and contributions from Konkanis across North America.
